At Frangus, all meals are deep-frozen. This process allows them to reach our customers with a one-year shelf life, always ensuring the preservation of nutrients and quality. Deep-freezing differs from conventional freezing in that food is cooled much more rapidly, allowing it to retain its quality for a longer period. Texture is also preserved, ensuring that each meal maintains the consistency of a freshly prepared dish.
At Frangus, finished products undergo a cooling stage lasting up to a maximum of four hours. This method prevents the formation of ice crystals, helping to preserve both quality and essential nutrients. The meals are then deep-frozen in a dedicated freezing tunnel until they reach a temperature of -18°C or below. For charcoal-grilled chicken and 2 kg meals, this process takes less than 18 hours, while single-portion meals require less than 15 hours.
This method ensures extended product longevity, preventing natural enzymatic activity and food degradation.
